The institution provides pre-hospital rapid response to medical emergencies. It was incorporated in February of 1993 and it conducts business from its registered head office which is strategically located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain. The institution's main function is to attend out-of-hospital emergencies, the urgent health transport and the coverage of predictable risk situations through the 061 dial service, and to offer health information and advice by means of the telephone service Sanitat Respon, a team of nursing and teleoperation professionals who offer permanent telephone customer care service. Further, the institution's mission is to offer citizens health information and health advice, providing and guaranteeing the universal access to health resources, with the aim to raise the level of access to information and health services.
